Nissan Announces First Fuel Cell Vehicle Lease in North America; “Coca-Cola Zero®” X-TRAIL FCV Promotes Zero Emissions

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) today announced the lease of an X-TRAIL Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV) to Sacramento Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Inc. Nissan, which began development of fuel cell vehicle technology in 1996, has previously used FCVs in demonstration fleets in Japan and in California through the California Fuel Cell Partnership (CaFCP), but this is Nissan’s first commercial FCV lease in North America. The Sacramento Coca-Cola lease is for one year, with an option for two additional years.

Nissan net income at 9.0 billion yen in FY09 first half - Nissan revises up FY09 full-year forecast -

YOKOHAMA - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today announced financial results for the first half of fiscal year 2009, ending March 31, 2010, as well as second-quarter performance. In the six months through September, net income after taxes totaled 9.0 billion yen (US $90 million, euro 70 million), down 92.9% compared with the same period last year.
